Sophie Bancroft & Tom Lyall Songwriting

Monday 19th September

We are delighted to have Sophie Bancroft and Tom Lyall coming to write songs for a few days in Corran and help us with grant applications so we can continue to develop our arts programmes and ideas. They are going to give us a wee feedback session on the morning of Monday the 19th of September, which will give us a unique insight in song writing and creativity.

Orpheus

Friday 19th August, 8pm

orpheus

A new, modern telling of Orpheus & The Underworld.

Those of you who saw the beautiful “Fables” last year will remember Alexander Wright, producer who is returning to the Ceilidh House with a contemporary version of Orpheus accompanied by musician, Phil Grainger, weaving spoken word with music. This will be another captivating performance.

This is a tale of impossible, death defying love; a tale of this world and the underworld; a tale of soul music and late night karaoke.

Told through spoken word and soaring live music, Alexander Wright (The Flanagan Collective) and Phil Grainger (Gobbledigook) weave a world full of dive bars and side streets and ancient gods.
